Mohan is an IAS officer who served in the capacity of secretary, environment and forests and later as chief-secretary for the Tamil Nadu government. His lifelong passion of wildlife and natural history prompted him to compile this book. All the pictures in the book have been taken by him and all the information compiled and personally fact checked by him.
